How to reach us

Our public email address is hello@homenetworkgrid.com. Email for this address is still being set up, so messages sent there may not reach us yet. We can’t promise a reply to every message or a particular response time.

Asking a networking question

Good questions get good answers, so include as much of the following as you can. Tell us what you’re trying to achieve, such as better coverage in one room, a working port forward, or a stable connection for video calls. List your equipment by make and model, including the modem or gateway, router, mesh nodes, switches and the affected device. Name your type of internet service, such as fiber, cable, 5G home internet or satellite, but there’s no need to share account details. Describe what you’ve already tried and what happened, including any status-light colors or error messages. Please don’t send passwords, Wi-Fi keys, public IP addresses, account numbers or screenshots that show them.

We can share general guidance, but we can’t log in to your equipment, troubleshoot your network remotely, or act on behalf of your internet provider. For billing, outages and account-specific equipment rules, your provider is the right place to go.

Suggesting a product or topic

If you’d like us to research a router, modem, mesh system, switch, NAS, firewall platform or self-hosted tool, send us its name and the question you want answered. Tell us what kind of home or use you have in mind, because that shapes what a useful comparison looks like. Suggestions help us decide what to cover, but they don’t guarantee an article or influence our conclusions. We don’t accept payment for coverage, and if you represent a company, please say so in your message.

Reporting a correction

If something on a page is inaccurate or out of date, send us the page link, the specific statement, and what you believe is correct. A source such as a manual, release note, standard or provider support page helps us verify the change quickly.

Before you write

Only make changes to networks and equipment that you own or administer. For work inside walls or anything involving mains power, follow local codes and consult a licensed electrician.

Ask a networking question

Tell us what you're trying to do, what equipment and internet service you have, and what you've already tried. Including model names, connection type and any status-light colors makes a useful answer much more likely. Please leave out passwords, public IP addresses and other private details.

Suggest a product or topic

If there's a router, modem, switch, NAS or self-hosted tool you'd like us to research, send the name and the question you want answered about it. Suggestions shape our coverage, but they don't guarantee that we'll write about something or reach any particular conclusion.

Report a correction

If something on a page is wrong, out of date or unclear, send the page link and what you believe is correct, ideally with a source such as a manual, release note or provider page. We check corrections against the sources before changing a page.
